Blueblack Learning Hub ("Blueblack", "we") operates a learning-services marketplace. We are the responsible party for personal information processed on this platform.

What we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone number, date of birth (tutors and adult learners).
• Learner information: first name, level, institution, learning needs. For minors this is provided by a parent or guardian with their consent.
• Tutor verification information: identity documents, qualifications, background checks where legally appropriate, professional registrations, references and banking details.
• Transaction records: quotes, payments, session logbooks, evaluations and disputes.
• Technical information: IP address, device and security logs.

Why we process it

To match learners with tutors, verify tutors, issue quotes, verify payments, record sessions, pay tutors, resolve disputes, keep users safe and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw optional consents at any time from Account → Privacy & consent, or by contacting our Information Officer.

Security

Sensitive fields (ID numbers, bank account numbers, exact tutor addresses) are encrypted. Documents are stored privately and only accessible to authorised staff. All privileged actions are audited.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, financial records). Retention periods are configurable and reviewed regularly.
